Who is this course for?
This course is a must-have for anyone who actually earns money from trading and investing while being a tax resident in Poland or operating within EU context. Whether you trade stocks on Warsaw Stock Exchange, ETFs via XTB, futures on Binance, forex via a foreign broker or stake ETH - the tax office will claim its share. The difference is whether you give away 19% in a smart way or 40% + interest + penalty.
This course is for:
- Active traders (day trading, swing) on stocks, CFDs, forex, futures
- Long-term investors dividend and ETF focused
- Crypto investors - spot, futures, staking, DeFi, airdrops
- Freelancers and entrepreneurs considering JDG (sole proprietorship) / LLC / Estonian CIT
- People with foreign brokers (IBKR, DEGIRO, eToro, SAXO, Bybit, Binance)
- Advanced thinking about a foreign company (Estonia, Cyprus, UAE) and wanting to avoid the CFC trap
Why 90% of traders lose not on the market but at the tax office?
Statistics are brutal. A trader makes 100,000 PLN (~25k USD), and then:
- Declares crypto on PIT-36 instead of PIT-38 and gets a summons.
- Forgets about NBP exchange rate D-1 for foreign broker and has incorrect income by 12,000 PLN.
- Does not submit W-8BEN and pays 30% withholding tax in the USA instead of 15%.
- Opens a company in UAE without substance and falls into CFC with 19% + 70% sanction.
This course saves you from each of these scenarios.
What will you lose if you DON’T take this course?
- Overpay tax (e.g., not deduct losses from previous years)
- Get a surcharge + interest (even 14% annually)
- Block your account due to missing UPO (official receipt)
- Fall into CFC and explain yourself for 2 years
What will you learn? Course modules
Module 1: PIT-38 vs PIT-36 Instrument Map
Finally clear: what goes where. Stocks, ETFs, dividends, subscription rights, crypto from 2019 is PIT-38. CFD, forex, futures, options is PIT-36 section V - revenue from other sources. You will learn table instrument -> PIT -> NBP rate -> deadline. You will understand that 19% is not always 19% - the form matters.
Module 2: Crypto - FIFO, Staking, Airdrops, TXID Evidence
National Revenue Administration loves crypto. Since 2019 it’s capital gains. You must know FIFO, distinguish staking (income at receipt) from LP, airdrops from hard forks. You will learn to keep TXID evidence and compare Koinly vs CoinTracking. Formula: $$ Income_{crypto} = \sum Revenue_{FIFO} - \sum Cost_{FIFO} $$
Module 3: Sole Prop vs LLC vs Estonian CIT - When What Makes Sense
When JDG on progressive scale, when flat 19%, when lump sum 15% on trading B2B? When classic LLC, and when Estonian CIT becomes profitable. Formula of effective burden: $$ Effective_tax = \frac{CIT + Dividend_tax}{Profit} \times 100% $$
Module 4: Foreign Broker - W-8BEN, NBP Rate, UPO
Trading via IBKR? You must know: each transaction is converted at NBP rate from previous day. W-8BEN lowers WHT from 30% to 15%. UPO is your proof of life. Conversion: $$ Amount_{PLN} = Amount_{USD} \times Rate_{NBP, D-1} $$
Module 5: Company Abroad - CFC, Substance, Estonia, Cyprus, UAE
ATAD Directive, art. 24a CIT Act - CFC. If you think about Estonia 0% on reinvestment, Cyprus 12.5% or UAE 0-9% - you must understand substance, management, tax residency. Decision table trap vs sense.
Module 6: Accounting Records for Accountant - Folders and 3 Registers
How not to drive your accountant crazy. Structure Google Drive + 3 registers: transactions, deposits/withdrawals, costs. Template ready to send. Checklist what to send to accountant on the 5th of each month.
Module 7: Annual Checklists and Trader Tax Calendar
Calendar: February PIT-8C, March PIT-11, April PIT-38/36, IKE/IKZE contributions by end of year, Estonian CIT by end of 3rd month. Step-by-step year-end closing checklist for a trader to sleep peacefully on April 30.
What results will you achieve after the course?
| Before course | After course |
|---|---|
| Chaos in CSV files | 3 registers + folders, accountant thanks you |
| Fear of tax office | UPO in folder, everything calculated per NBP D-1 |
| Overpayment 5-15k PLN annually | Savings via loss deduction, IKE/IKZE, JDG |
| CFC risk | You know when foreign company makes sense |

Why is this course different?
Internet is full of myths: “crypto does not need to be declared up to 100k”, “CFD is PIT-38”, “Estonia means no taxes”. This nonsense ends with an audit. This course is based on interpretations of National Tax Information, Supreme Administrative Court rulings, and practice of advisors serving 200+ traders.
We do not teach scheming. We teach legal optimization - IKE, IKZE, losses, Estonian CIT, lump sum, IP BOX (if you create algos).
