Cookie policy and browser storage
We use Google Analytics 4, but we only store analytics cookies after you consent. Below we describe in detail what we store, where, and how to delete it.

1. At a glance
- We use Google Analytics 4 — for readership statistics. It is the only analytics tool on the site.
- We store analytics cookies only after you consent. Until you make a decision we run in Consent Mode with consent denied: GA then stores no file in your browser.
- We display Google ads (AdSense) — it is the only advertising tool on the site. Until you make a decision, consent to store advertising data is denied: AdSense stores no advertising files and does not pass data to Google for ad personalisation.
- We do not embed external players, maps or social widgets that would set third-party cookies.
-
Progress, notes and quizzes are stored in your browser's
localStorage— the data does not leave your device. - A separate matter is cookies set by partners, which are stored only after you click a partner link and already in the partner's domain — not on our site.
You can withdraw consent at any time as easily as you gave it: with the button below (or “Change consent” in the footer). It opens the same banner, and a refusal deletes the analytics and advertising files already stored. You can also simply delete the site data in your browser. Refusing blocks nothing: lessons, quizzes, notes and tools work exactly the same.
2. What cookies and localStorage are
Cookies are small text files stored by the browser and sent automatically to the server with every request. They can be used to keep a session alive, but also to track a user across websites.
localStorage is the browser's local storage mechanism. The data stored in it is not sent to the server with requests — it stays on your device and is available only to the site that stored it. It is a sufficient tool for features such as learning progress or notes, because it does not require identifying the user.
3. What we use on the site
| Technology | Purpose | Category | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
localStorage | Lesson progress, notes, quiz results, the consent decision | Functionally essential — they deliver the service at your request | Not required |
_ga, _ga_<identifier> (Google Analytics 4)
| Distinguishing users and sessions, statistics on lesson readership | Analytics | Required — without it we do not store these files |
__gads, __gpi, _gcl_au and files with a
similar role (Google AdSense)
| Displaying ads, limiting how often they are shown and measuring their effectiveness | Advertising | Required — without it AdSense does not store these files and does not personalise ads |
The exact set of advertising files depends on the formats Google displays at a given moment and on your personalisation decision. Google publishes the current list in the documentation of its advertising technologies.
4. localStorage keys — the full list
Below are all the keys the site may store. The values contain only lesson identifiers, the content of your notes and timestamps — they contain no personal data.
| Key | Content | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
trader-completed | Array of identifiers of completed lessons | Learning progress and the percentage of the track completed |
trader-notes | Your notes (lesson identifier, content, timestamp) | The “Notes” module and margin notes next to a lesson |
trader-quiz | Map: question → result and the date of the answer | Remembering quiz results between visits |
trader-consent-v1 | Your analytics decision: “granted” or “denied” | Remembering the choice so that we do not ask on every visit |
trader-worksheet-v1 | Ticked items in the worksheet from the “Method of measurement” section | Progress counter for the three artefacts on the “Method of measurement” page |
The site has no user accounts and does not sync this data between devices. Progress on your phone and on your computer are independent of each other.
5. Partner cookies after you click a partner link
On the ranking pages (brokers, crypto exchanges, bank promotions) some of the links are affiliate links. When you click one, you leave our site and go to the partner's website.
The partner may then set its own cookies in its own domain — most often in order to attribute a possible referral to its source. These files:
- are not set by our site and we have no control over them,
- are governed by the given partner's privacy and cookie policy,
- are not necessary to use our site — clicking the link is entirely voluntary.
Links settled under an affiliate model we mark with the attributes rel="sponsored noopener", in line with search engine guidelines and the
requirement of commercial transparency. We describe the monetisation model as a whole in the
site footer.
6. Consent and legal bases
Storing data in localStorage for a feature you request yourself (learning
progress, notes, the consent decision) is treated as necessary to provide the service at
your request and does not require separate consent within the meaning of Article 173 of the
Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej (the Polish Electronic Communications Law).
Google Analytics 4 runs in Consent Mode v2. Until you make
a decision, consent to store analytics data (analytics_storage) is denied by
default and GA stores no file in your browser. Only clicking “Accept” raises that consent.
Google AdSense uses the same consent signals. Until you decide,
ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization are
denied, so we store no advertising files and do not pass data to Google for ad
personalisation. Clicking “Accept” raises consent for all three signals, while “Deny” keeps
them denied and deletes the files previously stored in our domain. Non-personalised ads may
also be displayed without consent — they do not then require storing information on your
device.
You can also disable ad personalisation independently of us in your Google ad settings.
The legal basis for processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), and for storing information in your browser as such — Article 173 of the Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej. You may withdraw consent at any time; a refusal does not limit access to any feature of the site.
7. How to delete stored data
All data stored by the site can be found and deleted in your browser settings — simply clear the site data for the domain www.kurstradera.pl:
- Chrome / Edge — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and site data → find the domain → Delete.
- Safari — Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → select the domain → Remove.
- Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data → Remove.
You can also use private browsing mode at any time — the data then disappears when you close the window. The consequence of deleting data is the loss of saved progress and notes; we hold no copy of them.
